Part of the Linux Foundation AgStack ecosystem

Since June 2025, OpenAgri repositories are integrated into Linux Foundation AgStack, one of the world’s most trusted open source organisations. This ensures our services remain available and maintained beyond the project’s end. Together with AgStack, we co-launched Pancake, an AI-native framework to unify open source tools for agriculture.

Seven reusable building blocks

All services expose REST APIs with JSON-LD outputs aligned to the OpenAgri Common Semantic Model (OCSM), and are designed to work in low-connectivity environments. Available under Apache 2.0 licence.

Digital Farm Calendar

Records farm activities, observations, parcel properties and assets in one place. Accessible via Web UI and REST API with JSON-LD output aligned to the OCSM.

Weather Data Service

Delivers 5-day forecasts and agri-specific indicators including Growing Degree Days, chilling hours, THI and spraying conditions, based on OpenWeatherMap and local station data. REST API with JSON-LD output.

Pest & Disease Management Service

Estimates pest and disease infestation risk using weather, crop type and scouting data, helping farmers act before damage occurs. Rule-based system, extensible to new pests via REST API.

Irrigation Service

Two tools in one: an evapotranspiration calculator (FAO Penman-Monteith) and a soil moisture analysis engine that detects irrigation events, saturation levels and plant stress. REST API, JSON-LD output.

Reporting Service

Generates farm reports for CAP compliance, organic certification, GlobalGAP and track-and-trace obligations, from data already collected by other services. Follows the collect once, use many times principle.

Gatekeeper

API gateway that handles authentication, routing and service composition for all OpenAgri services. Deployable on edge or cloud, designed for areas with limited connectivity.

OCSM: OpenAgri Common Semantic Model

The shared ontology that makes all services interoperable. Built on SAREF4AGRI, INSPIRE and W3C standards, used by all 14 SIPs.
