Prometheus

Prometheus

Simpler Components

A telemetry, systems, and service monitoring system that collects and stores metrics as time series data, providing insights into system performance.

Prometheus is a leading open-source monitoring and alerting system designed for reliability and scalability in dynamic cloud and edge environments. It collects time-series metrics via a pull model over HTTP, stores them in a high-performance local database, and supports powerful queries through PromQL. Widely used in infrastructure monitoring, Prometheus is also applied in smart agriculture and IoT to monitor system health, sensor states, or energy consumption. It integrates seamlessly with Grafana for visualization and supports exporters for a wide variety of platforms and hardware.
